Amy E. S. Stone, DVM, PhD

Dr. Amy E. S. Stone graduated with her DVM degree in 1999 from the University of Florida and her PhD in 2002.  She was in small animal relief practice while completing her degrees and post doctoral training. Her PhD focus was in pulmonary immunology and her post doctoral research involved work on a human periodontal vaccine. Since 2004, she has worked with the Primary Care and Dentistry Service at the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine.  Since 2006 she has been the Service Chief for this program.  Dr. Stone is now seeking her veterinary dental residency through the alternative track program with the AVDC.  Her special interests are in vaccinology, wellness care and dentistry.  She teaches in all levels of the veterinary curriculum.
